Laura Wheale

Laura was raised in the small northwest Georgia town Cedartown, Georgia. She attended Jacksonville State University (JSU), in Jacksonville, Alabama, where she played four years of full-scholarship collegiate tennis. Additionally, Laura was the lead in three theatre productions at JSU: Eurydice, Sylvia and All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten.

After undergraduate, Laura attended Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. Additionally, she met her husband, and fellow attorney at Childers, Schlueter & Smith, Patrick Wheale. After law school, Laura began her legal career learning and practicing alongside her father at Parker and Lundy in Cedartown, Georgia.

Laura and her husband now live in Atlanta, Georgia, with their two dogs, Lucy and George. In her spare time, Laura is engaged in pursuing theatre and film interests as an actress, where she has experienced success. Her first film role was a co-lead role in the feature film A Larger Life, co-starring Fred Thompson. In 2015, she was cast in the Ang Lee film Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk in a supporting role as the title character’s sister and the Clint Eastwood film Sully in a supporting role interviewing Tom Hanks. The Ang Lee and Clint Eastwood movies are set for release in 2016.
