Velma Wright works as a Litigation Paralegal within the firm’s Single Events Team. Her main role involves assisting attorneys within the fields of medical malpractice, premises liability, trucking collisions, cases involving Steven-Johnson Syndrome/Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (SIS/TEN), and other single event cases.
Previously, Velma worked as a family law paralegal and served as a legal advocate at a non-profit for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors. She also volunteered as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) worker for Gwinnett County Juvenile Court.
Velma obtained an M.A. in human services/counseling from Liberty University. Before coming to Childers, Schlueter, & Smith, she briefly counseled individuals, including juveniles, and worked for Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Velma likes watching old black and white movies, British television, and PBS. She also supports the Dallas Cowboys and simply enjoys life.
